2015 Supervues

Depuis 2007, au cœur de Vaison-la-Romaine, l’hôtel Burrhus invite des institutions, centres d’art, lieux d’art contemporain, galeries, à réfléchir et à participer à la programmation de Supervues en proposant à un artiste d’investir l’une des 35 chambres de l’hôtel.

L’enjeu de cet événement: investir une chambre, tirée au sort, avec des installations conçues spécialement pour l’événement, voire des performances; l’habiter pendant trois jours parmi sa propre création, au contact des artistes voisins, tout en étant le médiateur de son propre travail. Au dernier étage, la «suite» accueille une sélection d’œuvres d’un collectionneur. La manifestation est ponctuée de temps forts (performances, projections, concerts) et de parcours proposés par des collectionneurs, galeristes, artistes. Cette expérience, dont les maître-mots sont le partage et la rencontre, met en relation artistes et visiteurs.

Since 2007, in the heart of Vaison-la-Romaine, the Burrhus Hotel has invited institutions, art centers, contemporary art venues, and galleries to reflect on and participate in the Supervues program by proposing that an artist occupy one of the hotel's 35 rooms.
The challenge of this event is to take over a room, selected at random, with installations designed especially for the event, or even performances; to live in it for three days among his own creation, in contact with neighboring artists, while being the mediator of his own work. On the top floor, the "suite" hosts a selection of works by a collector. The event is punctuated by highlights (performances, screenings, concerts) and tours proposed by collectors, gallery owners and artists. This experience, whose key words are sharing and meeting, brings together artists and visitors.
